Features We’d Like to See in Farm Games

Valuta questo Articolo Farming games have grown a lot since the early days of the genre but there are certainly ways in which they can still be improved and, in this article, we’ll be talking about the features that we think can help do so. Giochi di Fattoria Gratis - Features We’d Like to See in Farm Games

Farming games, in the early stages of the genre, offered a pretty barebones experience that usually didn’t consist of anything more than planting crops, harvesting them, selling them for a profit and then repeating the whole process again. These games have definitely advanced a great deal over the years and have added tons upon tons of new content and features to the mix. However, in spite of all this, there’s always room for improvements and we have some feature in mind that we feel would elevate this genre to the next level.

The following are the features that we feel would be quite beneficial for farming games if they’re added.

1: Improved Social Features

As it stands right now, most farming games do have their share of social features but these usually don’t allow players to do anything more than visit players and do fairly basic tasks in exchange for experience and currency rewards. This is an area with a great deal of potential and there are various ways in which new social features could be implemented into these games that would enable players to interact with one another’s farms in different ways which, in turn, would lead to a more engaging experience.

2: Addition of Mini-Games

Most processes in modern day farming games such as harvesting or collecting produce from animals usually don’t consist of anything more than clicking or tapping the object. However, farming games could definitely be improved and made more engaging if special mini-games were played every time players performed these tasks. For instance, if one is harvesting crops then there could be a crop harvesting mini-game in which they would have to take a scythe to the crops themselves and, based on how well they do in the mini-game, they could get a better harvest as well.

3: Improved Visuals

A lot of farming games tend to feature the same fundamental art style and visual elements that have been around in the genre for many years and this is mainly to ensure that these games are accessible to the widest possible audience of players. However, computing performance has increased tremendously over the years and even most low-end mobile phones and computers nowadays have a great deal of processing power that farming games could certainly utilize to produce high-end visuals which, in turn, would lead to a significantly more immersive experience for anyone who gives the game a shot.

All said and done, while the farm game genre has certainly come a long way since its inception, we feel that the aforementioned features could certainly benefit it quite a bit and lead to much more engaging games if they’re implemented into the games. While on the subject, it’s certainly recommended that you try some farming games out if you haven’t already. We recommend Farmville 2 or Happy Acres for players who are just starting off in this genre.
