Be captivated by the fun-filled world of Milmo as the game thrusts you through a full-featured 3D action packed adventure that can easily be played in your browser. The platformer type of adventure is designed for the younger audience with its very intuitive and simple gameplay. The adventure takes place across a number of islands that are filled with interesting areas, simple fetch quests, treasures, surprises, and few easy enemies to deal with.
MilMo sports easy access through your Facebook account and will take a few simple installation process to start playing. The game could also be played through their site by taking the standard signup process before you can start playing over their browser-based game or by downloading a client.
After the simple process involved when creating your account, you’ll now finally be able to play it starting with the customization screen to personalize your avatar. Character creation houses quite a selection of customizable features including the face type, eyes, lips, hair, tops, bottoms, shoes and even the size of your build.
As you go on to the gameplay, it would seem very similar to other children themed game with bouncy figures and cutely designed visuals. The only probable difference is that it is ported into an open world MMO (massively multiplayer online) game. Here, you can fight monsters, collect treasures, take part and complete quests, explore, and even socialize.
Quests are handing out minimal fetch task that are typically involving chasing away crabs, catching bugs or digging up worms or treasures. You also get to explore the islands by running, climbing ladders, jumping through platforms or even swimming through its courses and wonderful environment. Later on, you’ll be given the choice of exclusive quests you want to take –like having you take aim and shoot a giant monster, or tasked to assist into some research of sort. There are also plenty of story aspects and puzzles to explore which enhances the overall fun experience.
The game may suffer though from long waiting and loading times during play, most especially if accessed through facebook. Though playing through the client-based or in its own browser-based game seems to have much shorter delays in the loading times. The game also makes use of a combination of keyboard and mouse controls that might lend its patrons (kids) a hard time getting used to.
While it’s easy to figure out as an adult, the game’s target audience may get frustrated before they even get the hang of it. There’s also a tendency for the “Unity plug-in” that is used by the game (in browser-based version and in Facebook) to crash every now and then most especially if your browser or firewall puts up active restrictions over your plug-ins.
In all fairness, MilMo may seem to be just as any ordinary kid-themed title with the stereotype of activity on the surface, but digging through its deeper content may prove to cover plenty of additional great charming elements. The game may suffer from a few set-backs like the loading problems and control issues but is highly situational and subjective to its playing patron.
