Royal Rush is a solid game that combines the best features of both city builder games and farming games into one top notch experience. It’s pretty clever to combine these two genres together as they have similar gameplay in a way so they synergize quite well with each other and make the game really enjoyable overall.
Starting off in Royal Rush you’ll first be introduced to the game with a bit of backstory. The summary of it is that the king’s health is in grave condition and his kingdom is slowly but surely falling apart and you play the role of the king’s son who will be the next person to claim the throne so it’s your job to restore the kingdom to its former greatness. After you’ve been told all the back-story, a tutorial phase will start which will teach you all the crucial basics of the game but the great thing is that the tutorial is quite rewarding so by the end of it you’ll have a fair bit of currency at your disposal.
The gameplay of Royal Rush, as mentioned before, brings together the best elements of both city builder games and farming games which means that there’s a lot of depth to the game but it also means that it requires a lot of focus and attention due to the amount of things going on in the game. You’ll find that there are tons of available buildings that you can construct in Royal Rush alongside of course an immense variety of crops that you can plant for food.
Other than food you’ll also have to acquire other resources like stone and wood by mining rocks and chopping down trees so that you can build new things in your kingdom. Royal Rush’s social features have to be one of the very best out there for a game of this sort since they allow you to interact with your friend’s kingdoms in various ways like helping them with resources or feeding their animals if they haven’t been fed in a while and you also get great rewards for doing so.
Although the game has some really top notch gameplay, Royal Rush falls quite a bit short when it comes to graphics. The game looks fairly outdated and the art-style looks relatively dull and uninteresting. It is not until much later on in the game when you have a pretty large kingdom filled with content that the game starts to look impressive but until then the graphics are average at best.
There are two main currencies in Royal Rush. The primary in-game currency is of gold coins which are mostly used for in-game tasks like buildings things and buying crops while the premium currency is of crowns which can be used to speed up construction tasks and buy some of the rarer objects.
