Daisyland is a farming simulator game on Facebook that is a cut above other farming games due to how much there is to do in the game. The sheer variety of things that you can do in the game is incredible. You’ll be doing your regular farming tasks and on top of those you’ll be doing a variety of other things like mining for stone or cutting down trees for wood. The game truly makes you feel like you’re working on a farm.
As with a lot of games nowadays, when you start the game off you’ll be greeted with a tutorial that’ll be in the form of basic tasks assigned to you. You’ll be given directions on how to do these tasks and once you’ve done them you’ll be given rewards for completing them. These rewards can range from experience to silver coins so the tutorial is very rewarding and is really helpful to get new players started up in the game.
Speaking from a gameplay standpoint, Daisyland is absolutely brilliant. You have your traditional farming mechanics like raising crops, selling your harvests, building up a garden shed, using your harvests for baking and cooking but as mentioned before, there is a whole lot more depth to it. You won’t just be able to plant on any patch of land since there will be weeds and you’ll have to manually pull these out before you can get to farming.
You aren’t just given resources automatically so you have to mine for stones and chop down trees for wood by yourself. All these extra things might seem a bit tedious but they ultimately make the game a lot more immersive and fun to play.
As for graphics and sound effects, at first glance the game looks fairly average at best but once you actually start playing the game you’ll notice that there are a lot of visual effects for you to behold. The character animations are extremely smooth and your farm becomes to look like an absolute beauty once you’ve built it up a bit.
The music of the game might feel a bit off at times since it doesn’t really fit into the whole farm based setting but despite this it is still fairly enjoyable and makes the experience all the more better.
You also have a bunch of social elements that game with the game, you and other friends who play Daisyland can help each other out by watering crops on other’s farms or by feeding their animals. In short, there’s a whole lot you can do to help your friends out.
Going in to cash shop elements, one thing about the game is that your character is dependent on energy and energy is either acquired by performing specific tasks on occasion but it can also be bought by using the premium currency of gold coins and these gold coins are of course purchased through real world money.
Other than energy, gold coins can also be used to purchase some nice decorative items like a fancy scarecrow and such but thankfully you’ll be able to play through the game just fine with or without purchasing gold coins which creates a nice sense of balance in the game.
